the story behind the goose

I'm Imogen, and I work from my home studio in the small town of Ramsbottom. I’m an illustrator, designer and creator - Every Goose is my small business, uniting my skills to provide fun products and bespoke design work! The answer to the question, ‘where did you get your name from?’ is a simple one… I found myself doodling ducks and geese a lot, so when the time came to think of a name for my venture, the goose theme stuck!

QUALIFICATIONS. I have a strong design background, having studied Visual Communications: Illustration at Loughborough University (after a year’s Art Foundation course of sampling a wide range of specialisms from textiles to ceramics to graphic design), graduating with a first in 2014. I worked in various graphic design roles after, including wedding stationery and giftware, finally plucking up the courage to go it alone in January 2019, when Every Goose was born! I now enjoy my role as a freelance illustrator, designing my own range of greetings cards alongside large scale window and mural work.

SPARE TIME. I'm a crafter, sewer, baker and gardener in my spare time, always accompanied by a cup of tea. I love the sunshine, being on my travels, reading a good book and spending time with my biggest cheerleaders - my amazing family and friends!
